The Voices Series:

1. VOICES BECKON

Set in late 18th-century Philadelphia, this “engaging historical romance” (Booklife) spans seven years in the lives of three young Britons who meet while crossing the Atlantic in search of a new beginning. Rich in historical detail, the story chronicles their coming of age against the vivid backdrop of the developing United States of America.

Available here in digital, print, and audio.

2. VOICES WHISPER

Liam Brock, David Graham, and Elisabeth Hale crossed the Atlantic on a life-changing voyage. Together by chance, bound by choice, their story continues in this “sweeping epic.” (Kirkus) “Historical fiction fans should take note.” (Publishers Weekly)

Available here in digital, print, and audio.

3. VOICES ECHO

When Liam Brock and Rhiannon Ross find themselves in the midst of a deadly intrigue, both must decide how far they will go in the name of protecting the other, and how much they will sacrifice to attain a future neither thought possible.

A riveting depiction of both the beauty of 18th-century Jamaica and the horrors of plantation life in the British West Indies.

Available here in digital and print.

The Macpherson Series:

Still a work-in-progress, much of this series takes place prior to the Voices Series. Nevertheless, I recommend starting it after finishing Voices as the fourth book will include characters from both.

1. A THIMBLEFUL OF HONOR

A poignant story of love, loss, and coming home, it is set in the heart of Scotland’s Highlands, twenty-five years after the 1745 Jacobite rebellion.

“With two multilayered protagonists and a strong foundation laid for sequels, this eloquent mix of historical fiction and romance will appeal to fans of both genres.” (Booklife) “Intriguing until the end.” (Kirkus)

Available here in digital, print and audio.

2. George’s story – set in 1781 St Augustine, Florida (a work-in-progress)

Essie Timmerman, proprietor of one of East Florida’s busiest rooming houses, has had her eye on one man only for the past five years. Now, if the gossipmongers were correct, the intelligent and attractive Mr. Macpherson was free.

After enduring years of a loveless marriage, George Macpherson, a successful trader in Britain’s fledgling East Florida colony, is not about to embark on another romantic endeavor, no matter how enticing the woman.

Besides, George has long suspected Miss Timmerman is a rebel spy—for if not to obtain intelligence on the Loyalists inhabiting St. Augustine, why would such a woman show interest in a world-weary, war-damaged man like himself?

3. Will’s story – set in 1781 Charlestown, South Carolina (a work-in-progress)

Will Macpherson, a young privateer working the southern coast during the American Revolution, resists commitment to any one ideal, and especially, to any one woman—until he meets Adele Shepherd at a Charlestown social event.

Adele, a closet abolitionist and the daughter of a minister, has little use for charming rakes, especially Catholic ones with dubious vocations. But when Will offers the use of his ship in pursuit of her cause, it’s an offer she cannot resist.

Now, if only he can convince her to entrust him with more than her secret.

Voices/Macpherson:

4. This final book, set in 1793 Philadelphia and Baltimore, includes characters from each series and brings both to a satisfying conclusion.
